Operation & Maintenance

Photovoltaic Power Plants are complex systems, made up by many components which need of an adeguate management and manitenance during all the plant lifetime, in order to keep the plant fully funcional and to grant the maximum revenues.

The normal decay of plant components, lead to a natural yield decrease as well as a revenue reduction about 0.5-1% each year. Moreover to this "fisiosolgical" decay, have to be added all the losses due to abnormal operations and failure, which if not promptly identified, analyzed and solved could lead to production losses much more higher than the natural degradation of the components.

A precise and correct standard managing plan and a stable monitoring of plant data permit tho mantain it fully functional and efficient, acting with preventive and corrective interventions. The role of a a specialized Operation & Maintenance service is to plan and implement all the adeguate standard and extraordinary maintenance interventions, aimed to grant the full operativity and yield of the power plant in time, reducing the risk of plant failure and the consequent revenue losses.

O&M has not to be seen as a cost for the plant but like a tool to mantain itself fully functional and profitable in time.

Future Energy group with its specialized branch FESM S.r.l. (Future Energy Services & Maintenance) offers to photovoltaic plants owners tailored services to grant the maximum efficiency and functionality as well as the maximum profitability of the plant.

Aiming to permanently manage and monitor the status of the plants, FESM operate with a control room based in the central seat of Agrate Brianza, near Milan, and a local operative seat in Benevento, near Naples. FESM has also available local qualified partners all around Italy to grant the minimum time of intervention.

Future Energy group is currently among the first players in Europe for number of plants and peak power under O&M gesture, as confirmed by the specialized network Solar Plaza in its ranking of October 2014. Currently FESM operates as O&M contractor on more than 60 plants wich peak power higher than 200kW with total power higher than 70MW.

FESM operates with the centralized remote monitoring system COFE ("Centrale Operativa Future Energy"), infrastructure designed and implemented by Future Energy engineers as an easy-to-use unique interface for the O&M operators and for the Customers, aimed to monitor and manage all the plants, indipendently by their architectures.

In addition to Maintenance and Monitoring services of the plants, the role of Future Energy is to provide constant update to the Customer about plant status and its yield. All the Customers are constantly updated with:

  • E-mail about abnormal function and plant intervention
  • Monthly and Yearly Report, Detailed and Clear, with the recap of all the activities done and plant performance;
  • Detailed Reports for extra-ordinary maintenance and interventions.

Working with tailored packages FESM coul also manage addictiona activities related to the operativity of the plant:

  • Plant Check-up, with thermographic IR analysis, aimed to verify plant status and identify possible critical or close to failure components;
  • Revamping and Re-engineering interventions aimed to increase performance or to decrease operative costs;
  • Plant Upgrades required by updates of technical laws (Annex A70 and A72 to TERNA code, CEI0-16 and CEI0-21 norm);
  • Coordination of Surveillance and Security services in plant aimed to minimize costs adn maximize efficiency of possible interventions.

In order to offer an integrated management of the plants, Future Energy could add to O&M, specialized Asset Management services, aimed to support the Customer in all the commitments linked to a correct operativity of the plant like GSE, Customs Agency, AEEGSI.
